Fish Are Still Dying

Thousands of Fish Found Dead in Brisbane River, Australia:  The Queensland government said it may take weeks before it knows the reason behind the deaths of several thousand fish in the Bisbane River at Lowood, reported ABC news.

Millions of dead fish washed up in Salton Sea.  South Coast Air Quality Management District is trying to say that the foul stench residents smelled throughout California is coming from the Salton Sea.  I think the announcement sounds "fishy."

In recent weeks, thousands of birds and millions of fish have been found dead across the globe.  Mass numbers of dead fish have appeared in Maryland, Arkansas, Brazil and New Zealand.  An astonishing number of dead birds have been found in Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky and Sweden.

Mass Fish Deaths in Epic Proportions

In Iowa last week, about 40,000 shovelnose sturgeon were found dead, which also brought about a $10 million loss in caviar sales.  So many fish also died in Powerton Lake near the central Illinois city of Peoria that they clogged the water intake for a nearby power plant.  Operators were forced to shut down the plant, because they couldn't take in enough water to cool it down, reported Time Newsfeed.

Oysters Die-off in Pensacola Oyster Beds
